Free public proxy list
This free proxy list holds public proxies gathered from open sources, not ProxyV4 servers. We test each one every 15 minutes and show only those that returned a working exit IP on the latest run.

Nothing in this list answers at the moment. We test again every 15 minutes.
The risks of a free proxy
- Whoever runs a public proxy is unknown to you, and can record, read or alter any unencrypted traffic that passes through it.
- Keep email, banking, social media and ad accounts away from free proxies entirely.
- Many people share each public IP at the same moment, so websites block or flag these addresses often.
- A free proxy usually dies within hours. Treat it as a quick test tool and nothing more.
Want an address only you use?
A ProxyV4 private proxy has one tenant, keeps its IP until the rental ends and logs in with a username and password.

How we test the list
- 1
Gather
We pull addresses from several open public proxy lists.
- 2
Probe
Each proxy must fetch a test page from our server. Any that fail, time out or expose our own IP are dropped.
- 3
List
Survivors appear with the latency we recorded and the percentage of recent tests they passed.
Free proxy list API: TXT and JSON
Pull the same live list we refresh every 15 minutes. Developers and researchers may use it at no cost: cache each response for 5 minutes or longer and credit proxyv4.com with a link.

Frequently asked questions
Do these proxies cost anything?
No. They are open public proxies. We neither run nor own them; we test them and list the ones that answer.
How fresh is the list?
It is rebuilt every 15 minutes, and each row shows the time of its last test.
HTTP vs SOCKS4 vs SOCKS5: what is the difference?
All three are proxy protocols. HTTP handles web traffic. SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 can relay other TCP traffic, and SOCKS5 adds authentication and IPv6 support.
How is uptime calculated?
It is the percentage of our recent tests that a proxy passed. A higher figure means it has been reachable more consistently.
Should I trust a free proxy?
Only with tasks where nothing sensitive is at stake. The operator can see unencrypted traffic, so passwords and personal data should never go through one.
