Adding a private IPv4 proxy to AdsPower, one profile or fifty
Updated:
An AdsPower proxy is set in the profile editor under Proxy -> Custom: choose HTTP, paste one ip:port:user:pass line and AdsPower fills the four fields for you. This page walks through that panel, the bulk route for larger teams, and the checks that tell you a profile really leaves through its own address before an ad account starts spending.
ip:port:user:pass- 1 IP$2.25
- 3+ IPs$2.10
- 10+ IPs$2.00

Why an ad account wants the same address every day
Most AdsPower users run money through their profiles: Facebook and Google ad accounts, Amazon or TikTok Shop stores, Web3 wallets. Platforms watch where those logins come from. An account that appears from a new network every few days tends to meet a security check, and that check often lands mid-campaign.
So treat the profile and its IP as a pair that does not get split. With ProxyV4, an IP belongs to one customer for the whole rental and stays the same while the proxy is active, and renewing keeps that exact address. Choose the country from the account's market and billing details; a US store fits a United States proxy, and the Facebook Ads guide covers the ad side in more depth.
The Custom proxy panel, field by field
Open New Profile, scroll to Proxy and pick Custom. These are the values that work with a ProxyV4 line:
| Field in AdsPower | What to set | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Proxy Type | HTTP | Our proxies speak HTTP(S); the HTTP option carries https:// sites through CONNECT. Do not pick HTTPS or SOCKS5. |
| Host:Port | The full ip:port:user:pass line | On paste, AdsPower splits it into Host, Port, Proxy Account and Password |
| IP Check Channel | IP2Location or DB-IP | This lookup decides the timezone and location AdsPower applies when the profile starts |
| WebRTC | Replace | WebRTC then reports the proxy's public IP instead of your local addresses |
Scaling up: the Proxies page and bulk import
Typing proxies into profiles one at a time stops making sense around the tenth account. AdsPower keeps a central list under Proxies in the left bar: press Add Proxy and paste as many lines from your Orders page as you need. When you later run Bulk Create, assign proxies by their Proxy ID so each new profile gets a different IP. Editing an entry in that list updates every profile linked to it.
For a large batch built from a spreadsheet, use the import template in the profile list. Each row is one profile, with separate columns for type, host, port, username and password. Split your lines into those columns, upload, and then open three or four imported profiles at random and run the check. If one cell slipped, for example a port landing in the host column, every row beneath it is wrong too.
Reading a failed Check Proxy
Before changing anything inside AdsPower, paste the same line into the proxy checker. It separates a proxy problem from a profile problem in a few seconds.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Checker reports auth failed (407) | Username or password wrong, often a trailing space from Excel | Re-copy from Orders; details in 407 Proxy Authentication Required |
Checker reports connect failed | Mistyped port, or the order has expired | Compare with Orders; see proxy server refusing connections |
Checker reports timeout | Your own network may block the port | Try once over mobile data, then read proxy timeout |
Checker reports not socks5 | SOCKS5 was chosen for an HTTP port | Set Proxy Type back to HTTP |
| Checker passes, AdsPower fails | A field in the profile differs from the line you tested | Compare field by field; after an import, look for a shifted column |
| Both pass, country is wrong | Location issue on the IP | Open a ticket; wrong location is covered by the refund policy |
Confirm the exit before handing the profile over
- Open the profile and load My IP. The address shown must be the proxy IP, not your office line.
- Run the WebRTC leak test in the same window; with WebRTC on Replace, only the proxy IP should appear.
- Check that the browser timezone and language match the proxy country. A US ad account with a Vietnamese interface invites questions.
- Group profiles per client or market, give team members profile access rather than the raw credentials, and renew only the proxies whose accounts are still live.

Click OK, then Open, and confirm the exit address on /tools/my-ip inside the new browser.
Frequently asked questions
AdsPower proxy type: HTTP or HTTPS?
HTTP. AdsPower's HTTP option already handles every https:// site through CONNECT, while its HTTPS option expects a TLS connection to the proxy itself, which our proxies do not use.
What does 'Connection test failed' mean in AdsPower?
AdsPower could not complete a request through the proxy. Check the type is HTTP, try another IP Check Channel, and test the line in the proxy checker to see whether the fault is the credentials, the port or your network.
Do I lose cookies if I change a profile's proxy?
No. Editing the proxy on an existing AdsPower profile keeps its cookies, local storage and extensions. The sites will, however, see a new location on the next login.
One proxy per Facebook ad account in AdsPower?
Yes. A separate profile and IP per ad account stops the accounts from looking linked by address. It lowers risk; it does not guarantee an account will never be restricted.
Can I change proxies on many existing profiles at once?
Many AdsPower versions allow batch editing, but the menu differs between releases. Linking profiles to entries on the Proxies page is the dependable route, and editing profiles one by one always works.
Static ISP or private IPv4 for AdsPower?
Both are dedicated and static. Static ISP addresses are registered to consumer internet providers and suit the most sensitive accounts; private IPv4 is a sound default. See ISP vs datacenter vs residential.
What happens when the proxy order expires?
The profile stays, but it can no longer connect through that IP. Renew from the dashboard before the end date and the same address carries on.
One dedicated IP for every AdsPower profile
Private IPv4 in 7 countries plus static ISP in the US and Vietnam, issued automatically after payment and renewable on the same address.
