Hidemyacc: choosing and attaching the right proxy for each profile
Updated:
A Hidemyacc proxy goes in New Profile -> Proxy -> Your Proxy with the protocol set to HTTP Proxy; paste the ip:port:user:pass line and Marco fills host, port, username and password. Decide which address a profile gets at the moment you create it. Adding a proxy weeks later means the account sees a sudden change of location.

Who uses Hidemyacc, and what the proxy adds
Hidemyacc has a large following among sellers and marketers in Vietnam, people running Shopee stores, Facebook pages and TikTok accounts, helped by a Vietnamese interface and an active local community. International teams selling into Vietnam or onto Etsy and TikTok Shop use it for the same reason: many accounts, one machine.
Each Marco profile looks like a separate device. A separate user also needs a separate network address, and that is the part a proxy supplies. With ProxyV4 the IP belongs to you alone for the rental and does not change while it is active.
IPv4, static ISP or IPv6?
Make this choice before you buy, because it shapes the cost of a large Hidemyacc setup.
Private IPv4 loads on every website, which makes it the safe default for accounts that matter. Static ISP addresses are registered to consumer internet providers and suit the most valuable seller and payment-linked accounts. IPv6 proxies are far cheaper per address and attractive when you run very many profiles, but a site without IPv6 support simply will not load through them.
A sensible split: IPv4 or static ISP for main accounts, and IPv6 only after you have tested it on a few profiles against the exact site you work on. The IPv4 vs IPv6 comparison explains the trade-off.
Field values for Your Proxy
- Connection type: HTTP Proxy. Our paid proxies use HTTP(S) with a username and password.
- IP / Port / Username / Password: paste the whole line; Hidemyacc splits it into four values.
- WebRTC: Altered, so the local LAN address is not disclosed to websites.
- Timezone: Based on IP, so the browser clock matches the proxy country.
Moving an existing account onto its proxy
- Choose a proxy in the country the account normally logs in from; a Vietnamese account belongs on a Vietnam proxy.
- Expect a verification prompt on the first login from the new address. Complete it calmly rather than retrying from other IPs.
- After that, leave the account on that IP. Hopping between proxies every few days throws away the benefit.
- Check that timezone and language in the profile follow the proxy country.
Keeping a store fleet organised
Proxy Manager in the left sidebar holds every line in one place. Paste several at once, run the one-click health check, and tag entries by store or country. Share profiles with staff rather than the credentials, so everyone works from the store's own static IP.
Write the IP or a short code into each profile's name or note and keep a sheet of profile, proxy line and expiry date. Renew active store proxies before the end date; ProxyV4 renewals keep the same IP, port, username and password, so the profiles need no edits.
Errors and quick fixes
- Check reports 407: the login was refused. Paste username and password again and check nothing landed in the wrong box. See 407 Proxy Authentication Required.
- Check gives up or nothing loads: verify host, port and the HTTP type, then confirm the order is active under Orders.
- IP check shows your real address: the proxy was not saved to that profile. Edit it, confirm the fields and save.
- Still stuck: test the line in the proxy checker, then send a ticket from the dashboard with the line and a screenshot. Support works 24/7.
Verify inside Marco
Run the profile and open My IP, then the WebRTC leak test. If both show only the proxy address in the right country, the profile is ready for its first login.
Step by step
- 1
Start a new profile
In Hidemyacc click + New Profile and open the Proxy tab.
- 2
Pick Your Proxy and HTTP Proxy
Select Your Proxy and set the protocol to HTTP Proxy.
- 3
Paste and Check Proxy
Paste the ProxyV4 line into the IP field and press Check Proxy to see the exit IP and country.
- 4
Create and run Marco
Click Create, then Run, and confirm the address on /tools/my-ip.
Frequently asked questions
Why did Check Proxy fail in Hidemyacc?
The connection type is probably SOCKS5 rather than HTTP Proxy, or extra spaces came along with the paste. Correct them and retest in the proxy checker.
Do I edit Hidemyacc profiles after renewing a proxy?
No. Renewing before expiry keeps the same IP, port, username and password.
Can I add a proxy to a profile I made earlier?
Yes. Edit the profile, fill the proxy fields and save. The accounts inside will see a new location on their next login.
Should Hidemyacc profiles use IPv6 to save money?
Only on sites you have tested with IPv6. Important accounts are safer on private IPv4 or static ISP, which work everywhere.
Which proxy suits Etsy and TikTok Shop in Hidemyacc?
Static ISP in the store's market, such as US static ISP or Vietnam static ISP.
Proxies sized to your Hidemyacc fleet
Static ISP and private IPv4 that keep their address on renewal. Buy one IP or many; the price per IP drops with quantity.
