Setting up a GenLogin proxy so the IP and fingerprint tell one story
Updated:
To set a GenLogin proxy, switch the profile's proxy selector from No Proxy to HTTP Proxy, paste the ip:port:user:pass line and press Check Proxy. That part is quick. What decides whether the profile holds up is the next step: making the timezone, location and WebRTC values agree with the address you just attached.

A profile has two halves
GenLogin is widely used by sellers and marketers who work the Vietnamese market: many Facebook, TikTok or Shopee accounts run from one computer. Each profile receives its own fingerprint, cookies and storage, so a site sees what looks like a separate device.
That is the first half. The second is the network. Without a proxy, every one of those devices leaves through your router on a single public IP, and a shared IP is among the first things platforms use to group accounts together. Give each profile a static address of its own and the two halves match. On ProxyV4, that address is used by you alone for the whole rental.
Settings to use in the profile editor
| GenLogin option | Value | What it prevents |
|---|---|---|
| Proxy type | HTTP Proxy | A failed check: our paid proxies use HTTP(S) with a login, not SOCKS |
| Host / Port / User / Pass | Paste the full ip:port:user:pass line | Typos; GenLogin fills all four boxes from one paste |
| WebRTC | Alter or Replace | Your local LAN address leaking from the Chromium or Firefox core |
| Timezone and geolocation | Auto, based on IP | A clock and position that contradict the proxy country |
Mismatches that give a profile away
The classic GenLogin slip is a profile whose IP says Japan while its timezone and interface language still say Vietnam. Websites can read all three, and a profile that disagrees with itself looks odd. Keep the options that derive timezone, geolocation and language from the proxy switched on; if a version does not offer them, set them by hand to the IP's country.
For WebRTC, choose the mode that alters or replaces the address. Turning WebRTC off completely is itself unusual for a normal browser, so masking is the better choice.
Handling many lines in Proxy Manager
- Open Proxy Manager in the left sidebar, press Add Proxy, pick HTTP and paste one line per row.
- Run the batch check to confirm each line is alive and in the expected country before you attach it.
- Tag entries by market, such as
VN-ISPorUS-ISP, so nobody gives one IP to two profiles. - Put the country or the last digits of the IP in the profile name too; a swapped proxy is then obvious at a glance.
When Check Proxy does not pass
- 407: GenLogin reached the proxy but the login was refused. Copy username and password again and make sure they are not in each other's boxes. More on the 407 error.
- Spins, then times out: host, port or type is wrong, or the order has expired. Compare with Orders and see proxy timeout.
- Check passes but the profile shows your home IP: the profile was not saved, or you opened a different one with a similar name.
- Country is not the one you bought: test the bare line in the proxy checker. If it is wrong there as well, open a ticket; dead proxies and wrong locations fall under the refund policy.
Last look before the first login
Start the profile and open My IP followed by the WebRTC leak test. Both should show the proxy address only. Then log in. For local Shopee or Facebook accounts pick a Vietnam proxy; for US-facing work a United States proxy. When the end date nears, renew just the proxies whose profiles you still run; the addresses stay the same.

Frequently asked questions
Why does GenLogin say 'Check Proxy Failed'?
Usually the type is SOCKS5 instead of HTTP, or a space slipped in around the username or password. Correct both, then test the line in the proxy checker.
Does a shared GenLogin profile keep its proxy for teammates?
Yes. Cloud-synced profiles carry their proxy settings, so a teammate who opens one leaves through the same static IP.
How many GenLogin profiles can share one IP?
For accounts that should stay separate, one. Profiles on a shared IP look connected. Bigger orders cost less per IP; see pricing.
Which proxy fits TikTok Shop or Shopee seller profiles?
An address in the store's own market. Main seller stores do well on Vietnam static ISP or US static ISP.
Can I move a proxy from one GenLogin profile to another?
Yes. Remove it from the first profile and enter the same values in the second. The IP stays fixed until the order ends, so do not leave it active on both.
Will a proxy stop my GenLogin accounts being banned?
No proxy can promise that. A dedicated IP removes one linking signal; platforms also judge behaviour, so warm new accounts up gradually.
