Proxies for X (Twitter): separate addresses for separate accounts
Updated:
X (Twitter) proxies are for anyone who runs more than one account and wants X to treat them as unrelated. X scores network reputation through Arkose Labs challenges and its platform-manipulation filters, and accounts that log in from the same connection, or engage with each other from it, collect search bans and locks together. A static address from ProxyV4 per profile gives every account its own network identity that does not change between sessions.
Three signals X compares between accounts
When those line up, the automated response is a Search Suggestion Ban or an Arkose FunCaptcha wall in front of the account. Separate, fixed addresses break the first two links, and discipline about cross-engagement breaks the third.
- Login IP: several accounts signing in from one IPv4 address form an obvious cluster
- ASN: the type of network the address belongs to, consumer ISP or hosting, feeds into how much trust a login gets
- Engagement graph: accounts that like, repost and reply to each other from overlapping subnets look coordinated
Account roles and the address each one needs
| Account role | Proxy | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| X Premium and Creator Revenue Sharing | US static ISP | A domestic consumer-ISP address that agrees with US Stripe payout details |
| Brand and marketing accounts aimed at the US | US private IPv4 | A fixed US address per account at a lower cost |
| Web3, airdrop and SocialFi identities | Private IPv4 in Vietnam or Singapore | One clean address per wallet and social identity |
| Japanese and Korean community accounts | Japan IPv4, South Korea IPv4 | Local addresses for two of X's largest Asian markets |
Moving an account onto a new IP with a token login
Importing an auth token or cookies onto a new static IP is when Arkose challenges are most likely. Treat the first day or two as a quiet period: let the session browse lightly for 24 to 48 hours before you change the bio, avatar or handle, and before posting links or sending a burst of replies.
After that, the address should never change. Renew before the proxy expires and the IP stays the same, so the account's history on that address keeps building instead of resetting.
Profile hygiene that keeps accounts unrelated
- Run each account in its own profile in AdsPower, Dolphin{anty} or MoreLogin, with the profile's timezone and language set to the proxy country
- Never have two accounts on the same address like, repost or reply to each other
- For Web3 work, keep the X account, its Discord account and its wallet together in one profile on one IP; see the Discord proxy page
- Check the profile in the WebRTC leak test so your real IP is not exposed beside the proxy
Step by step
- 1
Buy a static IP per account
US static ISP for monetised accounts; US, Japan, Korea, Vietnam or Singapore private IPv4 for the rest.
- 2
Attach it to a browser profile
Paste
ip:port:user:passinto an antidetect profile or into SwitchyOmega for a single Chrome profile. - 3
Check the exit IP first
Open My IP inside the profile and confirm the address and country before loading
x.com. - 4
Ramp up slowly
Read timelines and engage lightly before posting external links or replying at volume.
Frequently asked questions
How many X accounts can run on one proxy?
One for X Premium or primary Web3 accounts. For secondary accounts, no more than two per IP, and those two should never interact with each other.
Can X and Discord share one proxy in the same profile?
Yes. One X account, one Discord account and one wallet in a single antidetect profile on one static IP is the normal way to keep a Web3 identity consistent.
Why does X keep showing me Arkose puzzles?
Usually because the login IP is shared, recently changed or belongs to a range with a poor reputation. A fixed single-tenant address and a quiet first day or two after a token login reduce the challenges.
Will my X account keep the same IP after I renew?
Yes. Renewing in the ProxyV4 dashboard before expiry keeps the exact IPv4 address.
