Airdrop and Grass proxies: a separate IPv4 for every wallet and node
Updated:
Airdrop and Grass proxies solve one problem: making sure no two of your wallets, and no two of your DePIN nodes, ever appear from the same IP address. Protocols filter Sybil farmers by combining on-chain clustering with off-chain IP and ASN checks, and DePIN networks such as Grass, Dawn and Nodepay also look at what kind of network the IP belongs to. ProxyV4 rents each IPv4 to one customer only, so the address you attach to a wallet carries no history from strangers.
What links wallets together off-chain
Quest platforms like Galxe, Zealy and Layer3, and the claim pages that open on distribution day, record the IPv4 address behind every wallet signature. Sign with twenty wallets from one connection and the off-chain filter does not need any on-chain evidence: the shared IP already groups them into one cluster.
Bandwidth-sharing extensions add a second test. Grass and similar networks read the Autonomous System Number (ASN) of the IP. Addresses from ordinary cloud VPS ranges are rejected or score zero, while IPs registered to a consumer ISP keep a valid network score. That is the reason node operators buy static ISP proxies rather than hosting a node on a rented server.
Which proxy for which Web3 task
Spend the higher price where the platform inspects the ASN, and save on tasks where only uniqueness matters.
| Task | Product | Where | Reasoning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Running Grass, Dawn or Nodepay extensions | Static ISP | Vietnam or United States | The IP is registered to a consumer ISP, which is what the node score checks |
| Galxe quests, testnet faucets, dApp clicks | Private IPv4 | Singapore or Vietnam | Each wallet profile needs its own address; ISP registration is not required, so the cheaper product does the job |
| Main wallets and claim-day signatures | Static ISP | United States or Vietnam | Your most valuable wallets get the steadiest, most trusted address |
The bundle rule: one profile, one IP, one identity
Treat every farmed identity as a sealed bundle. One antidetect browser profile holds one static proxy, one wallet, one X account and one Discord account. Nothing in the bundle is ever opened outside its profile, and nothing is shared with another bundle.
- Never open a farmed wallet on your home connection, even to check a balance
- Run one DePIN node per static ISP address so the bandwidth score is not split between nodes
- Look up the ASN of a new proxy in the IP lookup tool before you attach a node to it
- Keep each wallet on the same address from the first quest through snapshot and claim
Why the address must survive renewal
Campaigns run for months. If a wallet interacts from one IP in spring and claims from a different one in autumn, you have created exactly the kind of inconsistency filters notice. With ProxyV4 you renew all or only some of your proxies before they expire and keep the same addresses, so a wallet's network history stays continuous for the full campaign.
Extensions also stay connected around the clock. Private IPv4 and static ISP plans have no traffic metering, so a node that uploads all day does not run into a data cap.
Step by step
- 1
Pick the product per task
Static ISP in Vietnam or the US for DePIN nodes and main wallets; private IPv4 for quest profiles.
- 2
- 3
Confirm exit IP and ASN
Run the line through the proxy checker, then confirm the network type in IP lookup.
- 4
Renew before expiry
Renew the proxies attached to live wallets and nodes ahead of their end date so none of them changes address mid-campaign.
Frequently asked questions
Static ISP or datacenter IPv4 for Grass?
Static ISP. Grass and similar extensions check whether the IP belongs to an internet service provider, and cloud ranges score zero. Use Vietnam or US static ISP for nodes, and keep cheaper private IPv4 for quest and testnet profiles.
Can several Grass nodes share one proxy?
Run one node per static ISP IP. Sharing an address splits the score and ties the nodes together.
Will a node running 24/7 hit a bandwidth limit?
No. Private IPv4 and static ISP proxies come with unlimited bandwidth.
Is anyone else using the same IP as my wallet?
No. Each address is rented to one customer for the whole rental period.
Give each wallet and node its own static IP
Static ISP in Vietnam and the US, private IPv4 in Singapore and five more countries. Check live prices and buy as few as one.
