Octo Browser proxies: three ways in, one check before launch
Updated:
An Octo Browser proxy can be attached in three places: the Connection tab when you create a profile, the Proxy cell in the profile table, or the Proxies page for many lines at once. Each accepts a pasted ip:port:user:pass line with the type set to HTTP. Pick the route that matches how many profiles you are setting up today.
http://ip:port:user:passOne profile: the Connection tab
In Create Profile, open Connection, choose Set new proxy and click HTTP. Paste the line into the host box and Octo fills host, port, login and password. Then set the two values that should follow the proxy:
- WebRTC: Based on IP, so the WebRTC public address matches the proxy.
- Timezone and geolocation: Based on IP, so clock and coordinates match the proxy country.
A few profiles: straight from the table
For existing profiles there is no need to open the editor. Click the Proxy cell beside a profile in the main list and either pick a saved proxy or paste a new line. It is the quickest way to fix a profile that was created without one, and it keeps the whole list visible so you can see which IP sits where.
Dozens: Bulk Create on the Proxies page
Open Proxies in the left bar and use Bulk Create. Paste the lines from your ProxyV4 Orders page, one per row, and each becomes a saved proxy you can assign from the table later. Give each profile a different entry; Octo makes it easy to reuse one IP everywhere, and that is exactly what links accounts.
The check before every launch
- Press Check Proxy and look for the exit IP and the country flag you expect.
- Start the profile and open My IP; the proxy address should be the only one shown.
- Run the WebRTC leak test to confirm the Based on IP setting works.
- If the check fails, paste the line into the proxy checker.
auth failed (407)means wrong credentials (how to fix); a timeout points to the host, port or an expired order.
Picking the address for ad accounts
Octo is popular for Google Ads, Facebook Ads and Amazon work, where one account per profile and one IP per account is the norm. Static ISP addresses, registered to consumer providers, suit the main ad and seller accounts; see Google Ads for the platform side. Renew before expiry and the address stays the same, so your Octo profiles never need editing.

Frequently asked questions
Why did Check Proxy fail in Octo Browser?
Usually the protocol is set to SOCKS5 instead of HTTP, or trailing spaces were copied. Fix them and test the line in the proxy checker.
Can I assign a proxy without opening the profile?
Yes. Click the Proxy cell next to the profile in the main table and choose a saved proxy or paste a new line.
Which proxy suits Google Ads in Octo Browser?
Static ISP in the account's market, such as US static ISP or Vietnam static ISP.
Do I edit Octo profiles after renewing?
No. Renewing before expiry keeps the same IP and credentials.
Addresses for every row in your Octo table
