Telegram proxies: keep each account on its own static address
Updated:
Telegram proxies keep a cluster of accounts from sharing one network fate. When dozens of Telegram Portable folders or Telegram Web tabs connect from the same IP, a SpamBot restriction or session revocation on one can spread to the rest. A private IPv4 or static ISP proxy from ProxyV4 for each account isolates them, and Telegram Desktop accepts the login details natively.
Where the proxy goes in each Telegram client
| Client | Where you set the proxy | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram Desktop and Portable copies | Settings > Data and Storage > Proxy Settings > Add Proxy, type HTTP | Enter server, port, username and password; each Portable folder keeps its own setting |
| Telegram Web | In the browser profile that opens it | Use one AdsPower or GenLogin profile per account |
| Mini Apps | Same as Telegram Web | Mini Apps run in a web container, so the profile's proxy covers them |
How Telegram links accounts that share an IP
Telegram looks at the device fingerprint, the phone number's country prefix and the IPv4 address that reaches its data centers. Many accounts authenticating or joining groups from one address at the same time look like a farm. When one of them is flagged for spam, sessions on the same address can be revoked together.
An address that belongs to a single account removes that shared risk. Keep one or two active sessions per IPv4 at most, and keep each account on the same address over time.
Picking a country: phone number and data center
Two things decide the location. First, match the country of the phone number where you can: Western numbers sit naturally behind US IPv4 or UK IPv4. Second, think about which Telegram data center the account talks to. Singapore and Vietnam are the short route to the Asian data center (DC5); the United States is closest to DC1 and DC3.
For channel owners and group admins whose accounts need to stay signed in for years, a static ISP address in the United States or Vietnam puts the session on a consumer-ISP network. For Telegram Web and Mini App accounts, Singapore IPv4 or Vietnam IPv4 is the usual choice.
Bringing imported sessions online quietly
- Give a newly imported session 24 to 48 hours on its static IP before it joins groups or sends outbound messages
- Do not move an account between addresses; renew before expiry and the IP stays the same
- Media downloads and Mini App traffic do not count against anything: private IPv4 and static ISP bandwidth is unlimited
Step by step
- 1
Choose an address per account
Singapore or Vietnam private IPv4 for Asia-facing accounts, US static ISP for long-lived admin accounts. One IP is a valid order.
- 2
Enter it in Telegram or the browser profile
Follow the Telegram setup guide for Desktop, or paste the line into the account's antidetect profile for Web and Mini Apps.
- 3
Check the line works
Test the
ip:port:user:passdetails in the proxy checker; passwords are not stored. - 4
Renew to keep sessions signed in
Renew before the end date so each account keeps reaching Telegram from the same IP.
Frequently asked questions
Does Telegram Desktop accept a proxy with a username and password?
Yes. Next to MTProto, the proxy menu has an HTTP option with fields for server, port, username and password. Pick HTTP and fill in your ProxyV4 line.
What is the cleanest proxy setup for Mini App accounts?
Run Telegram Web inside separate antidetect profiles, for example AdsPower or MoreLogin, with one HTTP proxy per profile. The Mini App inherits the profile's address.
Which location gives the lowest ping to Telegram?
Singapore and Vietnam are closest to Telegram's Asian data center (DC5). The United States is closest to DC1 and DC3.
Is it a problem to run several Telegram accounts on one IP?
It is the main way clusters get restricted together. Stay at one or two sessions per address and never mass-join groups from a shared IP.
