Running several marketplace stores without tying them together
Updated:
Proxies for marketplace sellers do one narrow job: they give every seller account a fixed, private login address in the country it trades in. Below is the operating model we suggest for teams with two stores or two hundred: how to map addresses to stores, how many to buy, and which habits quietly undo the separation.
What a marketplace learns from each seller login
Shopee, Lazada, Amazon and eBay all record the network address behind every seller-center session. Seller accounts receive payouts, so their risk teams pay closer attention than they do for shopper accounts. A store that appears from a different address every morning, or from an address other merchants also use, gets more verification prompts and more manual review.
When several stores are operated from one office line, the address becomes a shared fingerprint. If one of those stores runs into trouble, the others are easy to find. Note that the address is only one signal among many: email, phone number, bank account and documents are checked as well, and each marketplace publishes its own rules on how many seller accounts one person or business may hold. Read those rules before you scale.
Draw the store map before you order
List every store with its marketplace and the country on its business details. Each row gets one address in that country. A static ISP address (registered to a consumer internet provider) is the closer match to an ordinary shop owner's connection and is available in the US and Vietnam; private IPv4 covers all seven of our locations.
| Store | Address to assign | Product |
|---|---|---|
| Shopee or Lazada, Vietnam market | One Vietnamese IP per store | Static ISP or private IPv4 |
| Shopee or Lazada, Singapore market | One Singapore IP per store | Private IPv4 |
| Amazon.com or eBay.com seller | One US IP per seller account | Static ISP |
| Amazon.co.uk or eBay.co.uk seller | One UK IP per seller account | Private IPv4 |
| Amazon.co.jp seller | One Japanese IP per seller account | Private IPv4 |
How many IPs: count stores, not staff
The unit is the store. Three people working on one Amazon account share that account's address through the same browser profile; they do not need three. A seller with a Shopee Vietnam store and a Shopee Singapore store needs two addresses in two countries, even though it is one business.
You can buy a single IP and add more as stores open, and the price per IP falls as the quantity goes up. Different countries and products can sit on one account and one balance, so a cross-border seller does not need separate logins for the US and Vietnam.
Operating rules for a store team
- Bind each store to one profile in an antidetect browser such as GenLogin, AdsPower or Multilogin, and never open that store anywhere else.
- Paste the
ip:port:user:passline from Orders into the profile as an HTTP proxy. - Set the profile's time zone and language to the store's market.
- Run the address through the proxy checker and the WebRTC leak test before the first login.
- Give staff access to the profile, not to the seller password, so nobody logs in from home by accident.
- Renew before expiry. You can renew only the stores still trading and keep their exact addresses; let closed stores lapse.
Habits that link stores anyway
- Opening two stores one after another in the same browser window
- Checking orders in the seller app on a phone over office Wi-Fi while the desktop uses the proxy
- Registering several stores with the same email, phone or payout account
- Picking an IP country that does not match the store's registered address
- Using a new address to return after a suspension; marketplaces treat that as a serious breach

Frequently asked questions
Can one proxy serve my Amazon and eBay stores?
Only if you are happy for the two marketplaces' accounts to share a login address. For stores you want kept apart, assign one address each.
Does a proxy let me open more stores than the marketplace allows?
No. Account limits are the marketplace's policy. A proxy keeps stores you are permitted to run from looking like one operator; it does not change the policy.
How do I use the seller app on a phone with the store's address?
Enter the HTTP proxy with its username and password in the phone's Wi-Fi settings, following the Android or iPhone guide. Keep one phone per store.
What happens to the store's IP when the rental ends?
If you renew before it expires, the store keeps the same address. If it lapses, a later order will give you a different IP, so renew the stores you are keeping.
The proxy shows the wrong country. What now?
Raise a ticket from the dashboard; support works around the clock. A wrong location or a proxy that cannot connect falls under the refund policy, credited to your balance.
Map one address to every store
Pick the marketplace country, order as few or as many IPs as you have stores, and find the credentials under Orders within minutes of payment.
